Yesterday, today and always. Odesa in the collection of Vadym Morokhovskyi

On June 18, 2021, a large-scale exhibition “Yesterday, Today and Always. Odesa in the Collection of Vadym Morokhovskyi”.

The museum team dedicates the exhibition, which has collected many works of fine art, numismatics and other artifacts related to the culture and finances of Odesa, to the 50th anniversary of the founder of the OMA, philanthropist and public figure Vadym Morokhovsky.
The exhibition is so large that it includes ten independent thematic blocks, each of which has a place in a separate hall.

Thus, fine art and artifacts of Odesa’s history of the 18th and first half of the 20th century can be seen on the ground floor, and contemporary art of the second half of the 20th and early 21st century on the second floor.
Exhibits from the museum’s collection will be shown in the new digital format of NFT tokens. The Museum of Modern Art of Odesa becomes the first Ukrainian museum whose collection is hosted on the blockchain.

Visiting the project, the viewer will be able to make a kind of journey through the eras, thanks to or in spite of which the art and culture of Odesa were formed, to trace the development of social relations in different periods of history: how society came from bonds and paintings, banknotes and sculptures, coins and etchings to digital tokens, virtual assets and crypto art.

Among the authors represented at the exhibition: B. Anisfeld, V. Baranov-Rossinet, D. Widhof, S. Delaunay, M. Zhuk, C. Costandi, B. Kosarev, R. Nudelman, P. Nilus, A. Nurenberg, M. Pavliuk, O. Stilianudi, O. Fazini, A. Feder, T. Fraerman, P. Schwartz, and many others.

The opening will take place on June 18 at 17:00.

Admission to the opening is free.

On other days the entrance fee is 60 UAH.
