As of today, the museum team has digitised about 1000 works, over 2500 archival photos, audio, video and text materials. In order to provide convenient access to them, we have created a resource with the museum’s online collection, which will be gradually filled with unique materials.
Currently, the site features works that reflect the history of Odesa’s modernist art of the 1960s and 1970s, conceptualism of the 1980s, the New Wave of the 1990s, and the modern history of Ukraine. We are also gradually publishing works from the newly formed department of modern art of the first half of the twentieth century.
For several years now, the museum team has been working on digitising the archive and collection, and we would like to thank everyone who has worked on the website and at various times helped to digitise and research the material, and provided their expertise:
project curator Kristina Vinohradova, collection curator Liubov Zaeva, Vadym Besprozvanyi, Viktoria Velykodomenko, Anna Hlybina, Vitalii Haiduk, Maya Dimerli, and Semen Kantor, Yulia Kovalenko, Felix Kokhrykht, Yuriy Leiderman, Valeria Nasedkina, Mykhailo Rashkovetskyi, Natalka Revko, Tetiana-Margaryta Xu, students of cultural studies of the OPNU group IK171 and the developers of the resource – SiteGist.
It is a great pleasure for us to share with you the results of our many years of work. After all, the collected online resource is important in the history of Odesa art for present and future generations of researchers, artists and scholars.
